Plants are a rich source of secondary metabolites or chemical constituents with interesting biological activities. Therefore, thorough validation the herbal agents has emerged as new branch science emphasizing and prioritizing standardization natural drugs products because several these phytochemicals have complementary overlapping mechanism action. Mass spectrometry coupled chromatographic separations such Gas chromatography (GC-MS) is generally used for direct analysis components existing in traditional medicines medicinal plants. separates mixture mass spectroscopy analyses each separately. In recent years, GC-MS studies been increasingly applied plants this technique proved to be valuable method non-polar components, volatile essential oils, fatty acids, lipids, alkaloids etc. The present study was aimed find out bioactive compounds methanol extract Rhododendron arboreum Sm. by using spectroscopy. chromatogram showed 10 peaks indicating presence ten phytochemical plant. results revealed Limonene (18.48%), Caryophyllene (13.01%), 3-Heptanoicacid methyl ester (11.00%) Phenol, 2-(2-methyl-2-propenyl) (5.52%) major extract. support use R. controlling bacterial, degenerative other diseases. Thus, approves value plant scientifically validates it component preparations.
